Part 2 of the series, “Belong: Connected to Christ and His Church.” The Church is the context in which Christ continues to form His disciples. This Lenen series examines five ways in which Christ is doing so. Part 2 is to repent to Christ. Conscience is the judgement of reason that enables a person to make choices in response to divine revelation. In the Gospel Reading, Peter needed to repent of his desire for Christ to fulfill God’s saving plan according to Peter’s opinion. God tells us that we do not have to be afraid to listen to Christ and live according to His teaching.
